One-Hour Virtual Design Consultation


What is a Virtual Design Consultation?

You might be wondering "what is E-Design/Virtual Design"? Well the term refers to design services that are not conducted in person, but instead via email, phone or video chat. To be honest, the idea to offer my services virtually never occurred to me until Covid came along and turned our worlds upside down! It forced me to pivot and when I had a client from another city reach out and ask to work with me virtually, I thought "might as well give it a shot!" I am happy to say that learning to work with people over a video call has been a total game changer! Last year I added a one-hour virtual consultation to my service offerings and it has been a really great way to work with people both near and far. Our virtual interior decorating consultation consists of a one-hour video call conducted over Google Meet.

Clients give me a virtual tour of the space(s) in question and I answer their questions and offer suggestions, all from the comfort of our own homes!

Once I have grasped what the design challenges/needs for the space are, I share my screen with my clients so that we can look at ideas and products together. At the end of the consultation, I email any relevant links so that the clients can access the items and ideas we talked about. I will often create a mood board collage during the consultation and always share that with my clients as well.

Who is it for?

-seeking assistance with a design challenge

Virtual design is a convenient and affordable alternative to working with a Designer in the traditional way, while still providing similar benefits. While there is an initial investment in the service up front, there is a good chance that scheduling a consultation will save you money in the long term and prevent costly mistakes. When you buy a sweater from The Gap and you don't like it, you can easily return it for a refund. But trying to return a sofa that doesn't work in your space? Well that's a different story.

I understand what it is like to be stuck with a design challenge or to get tired of looking at the same unfinished space day in and day out. Just one hour of one-on-one time with me will help to move your decorating project forward. My goal is to help guide the process and break it down into achievable tasks so that you can complete your space and enjoy your home with your family and friends. And pets, if you have them!


How much does it cost?

Our Virtual one-hour consultation is an investment of $150.00 plus tax. At the time of booking we will send you a confirmation email requesting some details about your space as well as an invoice payable by credit card.
